A proud native of Scotts Valley, California, Dr. DeLurgio is a dedicated orthodontist committed to serving the Fair Oaks and Citrus Heights communities with a patient-centered approach. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from UC Irvine before graduating with Honors in 2005 from the University of the Pacific Dental School, a top dental school.
After graduation, Dr. DeLurgio honed her skills in general dentistry and shared her knowledge by teaching in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Pacific. It was during this time that she discovered her true passion for orthodontics, leading her to pursue further education in the field.
Dr. DeLurgio completed her Master’s Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics at Pacific, where she was honored with the award for the highest scholarship in her class. Since 2011, she has consistently been recognized as one of Sacramento’s Top Orthodontists by her peers, as published in Sacramento Magazine.
Her orthodontic residency research was centered on the genetics of cleft lip and palate. Collaborating with Pacific’s Craniofacial Genetics Laboratory, her studies received the prestigious Harry Sicher Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontists for two consecutive years. Dr. DeLurgio also trained in airway and sleep orthodontics at The Breathe Institute & Applied Integration Academy, focusing on sleep, breathing and improved jaw & overall body posture.
With a warm, approachable demeanor and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality orthodontic treatment, Dr. DeLurgio aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients. As a proud member of the Progressive Orthodontic Study Group, she stays at the forefront of orthodontic advancements.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. DeLurgio treasures time spent with her husband, Daniel, and their son, Jack. Together, they enjoy exploring the great outdoors and traveling to new destinations, creating lasting memories as a family.
